Prayer – Victory Is Our Portion

AD!

2 Chronicles 20:15. And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

As children of the Most High God, victory is part of who we are, and even the devil knows it. However, this does not stop him from looking for loopholes in the children of God so he can try to defeat us. One of the loopholes is lack of knowledge. When we don’t know that the battle is already won, we walk in fear, and the devil takes advantage of us.

1 Peter 5:8. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

We need to walk in victory because the battle is not ours— it belongs to our God. Even when we go into warfare, we need to do it from the point of victory. We put the devil in His place—under our feet where he belongs.

Colossians 2:15. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

Would you face that challenge today from the point of victory? You might have given up, and almost begging the challenge to leave you alone. But, You are a child of the Most High God, and have already overcome that challenge even before it began. Victory is your portion.

Let Us Pray

Psalm 20:6. The LORD gives victory to His anointed. He answers him from His heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of His right hand.

King of kings, and Lord of all lords, we thank You because You are a good God. You are a mighty and awesome God. Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? Who can say yes, when You did not say yes, or no when you did not say no?

Has anyone ever given You counsel? Did anyone lend You anything so You can repay it? You fill the heavens and the earth! You are the Most High God! All-wise, all-mighty and all-powerful! Victory is Your name, for You have won the victory against your enemy. Hallelujah! You triumphed over him, and put him to open shame. You brought us victory by your cross.

Jeremiah 23:23-24. “Am I a God near at hand,” says the Lord, “And not a God afar off? Can anyone hide himself in secret places, So I shall not see him?” says the Lord; “Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord.

Today Lord, help us to have a clear understanding that You have given us the victory on the day that we became Your children. May we know that even the challenges we face today are defeated already and it is just a matter of time before we see the manifestation.

Help us to be vigilant against the enemy, because even when he knows that he was defeated and triumphed over by God in Christ’s cross, he still comes around like a roaring lion, looking for whom he may devour. But we will neither be moved nor be shaken, for the true LION of the tribe of Judah has prevailed and emerged victorious.

Revelation 5:5. Then one of the elders said to me, “Don’t weep. Look! The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has emerged victorious so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”

Dear Lord, thank You that we can know, beyond any shadow of doubt, that You hear us when we call. Thank You for Your victorious and powerful right hand that upholds and sustains us each and every day. We are blessed to be yours. In the mightiest and most exalted name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

Exodus 14:13. And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.
