Prayer To Be Kind And Good To Others

Sometimes, the only love some people will experience throughout the day is the love you share with them. People are going through a lot, and your kind words may be just what they need to sooth their souls.

Proverbs 12:25 Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad.

Being good and kind to others is a fruit of the Spirit as stated in Galatians 5:22-23. The Spirit of God in us is kind, good and gentle. So let us press on to represent Him rightly at all times. Your act of kindness towards another person may mean everything to them. Kind words heal.

Galatians 5:22,23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

Let Us Pray

Awesome God, most  beautiful and gracious Saviour! How great is Your goodness towards me! There is no end to your kindness. You have seen my worst and my best, yet You never withheld your love from me. You never changed your mind about me, nor have You repaid me for the wrong I have done You on my worst days.

You are so kind to me, and You flood me with your goodness everyday. Lord, I want to be like You. Fill me with grace that I will be gracious to others. Let my speech be full of grace, and seasoned with salt that it may be a blessing to the hearers.

Proverbs 12:18 Careless words stab like a sword, but the words of wise people bring healing.

May my words not hurt, but may they bring healing. May my words not tear apart, but may they bind the broken hearted. May my words not break down others, but may they soothe and restore.

My Lord, help me to display actions that are good and kind. I will glorify God in my words and deeds today. Those who encounter me will have a share of the peace You have given me and the love of Christ will be shed abroad in my heart.

Oh Lord, help me to be a light of hope to those I encounter. May they see the living Christ in me. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
