Prayer — The Name Of The Lord Is My Strong Tower!
So many of the anxieties and stresses we experience in our lives today come from a place where we do not feel safe and secure.
But, God is our strong tower! Despite what is happening around us, we can rest assured that safety is found in His name and His love.
When you know the Lord is on your side, it gives you confidence, and boldness. You don’t fall apart in the face of opposition. Whether it is disease, debt, stress or despair, you know who is on your side. And, when God is on your side, who can dare be against you?
“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.” (Psalms 20:7).
And in Proverbs 18:10: The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.
Let Us Pray
Oh Lord, I thank You because You are trustworthy. Those who look up to You will be radiant with glory, and their faces will never blush with shame.
Some trust in chariots, and others in horses. Some trust in good connections, education and financial abilities. But, as for me, each and every day, I will remember your Name, and call upon your mighty name, oh Lord, my God.
Philippians 2:9-11. Therefore, God also has highly exalted Him, and given Him the name, which is above every name, that, at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
My God, Your name is my tower of refuge and protection. In your name, I find safety and peace like still waters. When I am afraid, worried, and troubled, I will find reassurance, comfort and rest in Your Holy Name.
In this evil world, I may face trouble, persecution, rejection and disappointments, but Your name is the emergency number that I can call for rescue. When I am overwhelmed, and when I can barely think straight, help me to always remember to stop and call on Your Name.
Acts 2:21. Everyone who calls on the Name of the LORD will be saved.
Your word says that whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Lord, the power to save, to deliver and to set free is in Your name. When I call on You I will be saved from any danger, trouble and anything giving me sleepless nights.
You are the horn of my salvation, my God. Help me to be different from the unbelievers who trust in their own strength and wisdom. Today, I want to earnestly call on Your name for help, guidance, and protection. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.
