Prayer – The Lord Will Take A Bullet For You!
Psalms 3:3 But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.
The Bible describes the Lord as your shield. It means that the Lord is our Protector. But there is a deeper meaning which will help us see God’s love.
A shield is used by warriors to cover themselves from the darts and arrows of the enemy. When we say the Lord is our shield, we are saying that He covers us from the darts of the enemy. He surrounds us like a shield so He “takes” every bullet that was intended to hit us. Pause and think about that.
Psalms 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trust in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.
Let Us Pray
Dear Lord, how wonderful is your love for me! How manifold are your miracles in my life! Day by day, You satisfy me with goodness and load my life with benefits. You crown me with loving-kindness and tender mercies. You fill my mouth with goodness so that I am renewed day by day. Oh bless the Lord oh my soul, and all that is within, bless His holy name.
John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
Oh Lord, You shield me round about and make sure no bullet hits me. You cover me like a shield all the days of my life. You take every bullet for me. Your love for me is wonderful, my God. You will level every mountain, lift up every valley, part every sea and make rivers to flow in a desert just for me. What manner of love is this my God! I am in awe of You.
Proverbs 2:7-8 (from the New Living Translation) He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him.
Lord, You watch over me when I sleep, and you lead me when I awake. You are a lamp unto my feet and a light in my path. You watch out for me and shield me from the arrows of the enemy. I shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
Though a thousand falls at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand, the weapon forged against me will never prosper, because the Lord covers me with His feathers, and under His wings I take refuge. The Lord is my shield and buckler.
Heavenly Father, thank You for being a shield of protection around me. Thank you for guiding and protecting me. You have closed doors that are harmful and removed the wrong people from my life. Help me to be always honest, true and faithful to You.
Though the enemy roars round about me like a roaring lion, and though an army encamps against me, my heart does not fear; for You, oh Lord make me dwell in safety. Greater is He who is in me and around me, than he that is in the world. Thank You Lord for Your goodness. Thank you for your love and grace.
